❌ Still Seeing Errors?
Step 2: Temporarily Disable Your Firewall for Testing
Use this only as a test to see if the firewall is causing the issue.
To temporarily disable your firewall:
Click Start, search for Control Panel
Go to System & Security > Windows Defender Firewall
Click Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off
Choose Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (for both network types)
Try launching your Interplay content again
If it works, your firewall likely needs updated allowlist settings.
❓ Can I Use IP Addresses Instead of Domain Names?
No — static IPs aren’t available.
Interplay uses Amazon S3 and Google App Engine, which use dynamic IP addresses. These can change based on your region, internet provider, or even the time of day. For security and stability, they recommend using domain-based rules rather than IP-based ones.
