Step 4: How to Use Interplay Learning in VR

A step-by-step guide to navigating the Interplay Learning VR app

Now that your headset is ready and the app is installed, let’s walk through how to log in, navigate, and use simulations in virtual reality!

🔐 Step 1: Log In

  • Open the Interplay Learning app on your Meta Quest headset.

  • Click the “LOG IN” button located in the upper-right corner of the screen.

  • Enter your login credentials to access the VR training platform.

🎮 Step 2: Navigate the App

Getting around is easy using your controllers:

  • Use the trigger button to select items

  • Use the thumbstick to scroll through menus and screens

🧑‍🏫 Step 3: Try the VR Tutorial (Optional but Recommended!)

If this is your first time in VR, we highly recommend starting with the VR Tutorial.
You’ll find it to the left of the course catalog—it’s a great way to get comfortable in your virtual workspace.

🧰 Step 4: Launch a Simulation

  • After completing the tutorial, head to the catalog, choose a course, and click to launch a simulation.

Once inside, you’ll see:

  • A Procedure Guide to walk you through the task

  • A Toolbar for quick actions and helpful tools

🧭 Step 5: Reposition the Interface (If Needed)

You can move the guide and toolbar to wherever it feels most comfortable:

  1. Find the blue "move bar" under the interface.

  2. Point at it using your controller.

  3. Hold down the trigger button.

  4. Drag the interface to a new location.

  5. Release to drop it in place.

✋ Step 6: Interact with Objects

To interact inside the simulation:

  • Move your controller close to an outlined object

  • Press either controller trigger to activate the action
