📚 Why Can’t I View Interplay Learning Courses in Canvas?

If you’re having trouble seeing your Interplay Learning course inside Canvas, don’t worry!
Here are the most common reasons — and quick solutions to help you get back on track.

🛠️ Solution 1: Check if the Course is Published

Unpublished course sites will not appear on your Canvas Dashboard.

Here’s how to check:

  • Visit our guide: How do I find my courses?

  • If you find the course listed but unpublished, reach out to your instructor to confirm if they plan to use Canvas for the course.


🧑‍🏫 For Instructors: How to Publish a Course

Publish from the Dashboard:

  1. Locate the Unpublished Courses section on your Dashboard.

  2. Find the course you want to publish.

  3. Click the Publish button.


Publish from Inside the Course:

  1. In Global Navigation, click the Courses link.

  2. Under your course list, find and open the Unpublished Course you want.

  3. Look at the sidebar on the Course Home Page or Course Settings.

  4. Click Publish to make the course live!

📢 Note: On smaller screens, the sidebar might display below the page content.

After publishing:

  • You’ll see a confirmation message at the top of the page.

  • If needed, you can Unpublish a course — but only if there are no graded submissions yet. Once there’s a graded assignment, the course becomes permanently published.


🛠️ Solution 2: View Enrollments in the Course Section

If your course is published but still not appearing, check enrollment status:

  1. In Global Navigation, click Settings.

  2. Open the Sections tab.

  3. Click on the name of the Section/Course.

  4. View lists under Pending, Active, or Current Enrollments.

If your enrollment is pending, you might not have full access yet.


🛠️ Solution 3: Resend Student Invitations

Sometimes invitations get missed or lost!
Here’s how instructors can resend them:

  1. In Course Navigation, click People.

  2. Locate the user enrollment list.

  3. Select an individual and Resend Invitation under their options.
